I have always appreciated The Expendables commitment to disregard plot and narrative in favor of just action and comedy. I actually think this is superior to the first one, simply because it made me laugh more and had better action. All of the action legends are great as well, Arnie and Norris stick especially out. It is a dumb film, but I don't see that as a negative in this case.

I watched this movie in the theaters without watching expendables 1 and it was pretty hard to follow. There’s no introduction to any of the characters, you’re just suppose to know who they are from number 1. Regardless, a super action based movie thats both suspenseful and thrilling but nothing really that special in my opinion. Watch if you like action movies! Otherwise I wouldn’t bother.
