Although I have never watched this movie, after reading the overview I feel like this would be a very good movie because it really attracts the viewer with its unique plot. A movie that showcases the war heroes is always a patriotical thing.

Though I hate to admit, I don't know much about the Vietnam War. I also know that many besides myself also don't know much on this tragic war. The US fought in Vietnam, but unlike others, they did not necessarily prevail in this one. Many lives were lost and is still seen as a failure. This film intrigues me because I would love to get more of an insight of the war I've only heard tragic things about.

The construction is deliberately episodic, and individual settings often appear to owe more to the modern conceptions of stage-technique than to the cinema. But the ingenuity with which the episodes are assembled sets a new level in film-construction.

Amazing war movie that captures the brutality of the Vietnam war. Mel Gibson gives a commanding performance in this action flick which contains many graphic scenes and vividly describes the fear and violence present during war.
