페리스(매튜 브로데릭)는 장난이 심한 고교 3년생 악동이다. 어느 날 아프다는 핑계를 대고 학교를 빠진 후 가장 친한 친구인 카머론(알란 룩)과 예쁜 여자 친구 슬로안(미아 사라)에게도 핑계를 대고 거짓 조퇴를 만들어준다. 이를 수상하게 여긴 학생 주임 루니(제프리 존스)는 페리스의 장난을 짐작하고 이들을 찾아 거리로 나선다. 페리스, 카머론, 슬로안은 저녁 해질 때까지 온갖 장난을 치며 돌아다니다가 문득 서로의 문제점에 대해 의논하기로 한다. 카머론은 아버지에 대한 두려움이 지나치다고 실토하고 페리스와 슬로안도 각자의 고민을 털어놓는데...

Classic coming of age film. This 80’s movie seems like just an extremely entertaining movie. The main character is so fearless and takes us out on all his adventures on a day of skipping class. It keeps on the edge as he almost gets caught multiple times and always finds a way out. Ferris is an invincible character that tell the world to follow your gut and do what makes ou happy not what other people tell you to do

This is a classic movie that makes you reminisce about high school. It is full of teenage mischief and overall has a very fun, carefree spirit. Ferris Bueller is a happy-go-lucky but also extremely intelligent and conniving student that jumps through hoops in order to get a day off of school. Overall just a very light hearted movie to watch with family.
