미국 프로미식축구(NFL) 챔피온 쉽을 노리고 있는 보스톤 레벨스 팀의 매력적인 슈퍼스타 쿼터백 조 킹맨은 부와 명예를 모두 거머쥔 그야말로 ‘화려한 싱글’ 생활을 즐기고 있다. 그러던 어느날, 조의 즐거운 싱글 생활을 한 순간에 바꿔버리는 사건이 발생하는데, 바로 자신의 딸이라고 스스로를 소개하는 7살 여자아이 페이튼이 같이 살기 위해 찾아온 것이다. 페이튼은 조가 수년 전에 헤어진 전처와의 마지막 잠자리에서 생긴 아기였던 것. 이제 페이튼이 조와 같이 살게 되면서, 조는 연습과 파티, 슈퍼모델과의 데이트 등 예전의 생활에 더하여 페이튼의 인형놀이, 발레강습, 잠자기 전 이야기 읽어주기 등 새로운 일들이 뒤엉켜 정신없는 날들을 보내게 된다. 조의 에이전트로 전형적인 비즈니스 우먼인 스텔라도 혼란스럽기는 마찬가지. 하지만 챔피언 결정전이 다가오면서, 조는 자기에게 있어서 진정으로 중요한 게임은 돈과 연애, 터치다운 등과 관계된 것이 아니며, 인내력, 팀 웍, 타인을 위하는 마음, 그리고 무엇보다도 딸의 마음을 얻는 것임을 깨닫게 된다!

This is quite a funny children's film all about how a little girl turns a party football player's life around. It's a super funny film about a girl who turns up on his doorstep and tells Dwayne Johnson's character that she's his daughter. He clearly has no clue what to do with a child, which is why it's very funny. He makes a lot of mistakes and at the start, he really wants to just turn her around, but they build a really cute relationship by the end of the film.

The Game Plan is a great movie about what it means to be a father. The Rock embodies his role perfectly and is so convincing. The film has so many emotional moments that will have you in tears of happiness and sadness.
