"Dunkirk" is a intense and amazing film that focuses on the 1940 WW2 event when Germany was advancing into France. The French and British troops started to evacuate as Germany was coming into France. With limited time and military ships, the allies had to wait for volunteers with domestic ships to rescue them. This film causes you to feel the fear and unrest these soldiers are experiencing while trying to do what they can to survive Dunkirk. Every actor in this film is outstanding and deserve to be praised for this film.

I never liked a war movie before Dunkirk. Christopher Nolan never disappoints me. He made a masterpiece again! It was a different approach to war movies and all the settings were so clear. Best war movie ever in my life.

It was one of the recent movies that was well made. The movie purposely did not have much music going on in the background to put everyone in the middle of the battle ground. The sound of bombs going off and guns firing came up suddenly just like how it would have been in real life. I was also pleasantly surprised to see Harry Styles his acting was quite good

This movie barely has a story, nor any character development what so ever. However this is not where this movies strength lies. It is in the tension building, the editing and atmosphere. This is more an excercise in how film can affect you on an emotional level, without telling a compelling narrative.
