예술을 좋아하는 사람이 아니라면 주인공의 변화를 납득하지 못할듯. 아니 영화 자체를 재미없다고 느낄 것 같다. 점차 여성으로 변해가는게 안타깝기도 하면서 참 아름다웠다. 마지막 장면에서 울컥했던 감정이 아직도 기억난다. 그러나 옆에서 그런 그를 이해하며 끝까지 사랑해주었던 아내가 진정한 그 시대의 챔피언…..

most touching movie about Einer becoming Lilly

What a beautiful movie with a cast of characters that were well acted. Einar/Lili and Gerda were magnificently portrayed by Eddie Redmayne and Alicia Vikander, respectively. The supporting cast was great as well. Very emotional and sad film based on a true story. The movie truly tugs at your emotions and makes you feel the pain and struggle these characters go through as husband and wife going through these changes. Gerda stays by Einar/Lili’s side until the end. True love is unwavering.

This is such a beautiful and emotional film about a true story, whereby a married couple find themselves in a rather unusual situation when the husband discovers that he would rather become female. The tale is heartbreakingly sad, as the wife stands by her husband, but struggles to find her own identity in all of it. Deciding whether to go for the surgery that has never been performed to physically make a man, a woman is one that is weighed up and played out before your eyes.
