불가사의한 이유로 사람들의 출입이 금지된 채 방치된 미국 해안지대에 펼쳐져 있는 미스터리한 엑스구역(Area X). 이곳과 관련된 사안을 다루는 비밀 정부 기관 ‘서던 리치(Southern Reach)’는 점점 커져가는 엑스구역의 정체를 파악하기 위해 ‘쉬머(Shimmer)’라 불리는 탐사대를 파견해왔다. 이에 가담했던 남편이 의식을 잃은 채 돌아오자, 전직 군인이자 생물학자인 레나는 남편을 구하기 위해 탐사대에 지원한다. 입구는 하나, 출구는 없다고 불리는 미지의 구역에 발을 디딘 레나와 대원들, 다가갈수록 더 깊이 빠져드는 엑스구역의 비밀에 한 발짝 다가서게 되는데…

want to watch a movie that makes you go wtf wtf throughout the whole thing this is your movie. acting could be better same with cgi and props. A few parts of the film were not needed and should NOT be considered horror but other than that not bad definitely entertaining
