The perfect depiction of white people. The main character and her whole family are entitled, self absorbed, ungrateful and overly dramatic about everything. Even when their so called loved ones are going through far worse, they couldn’t care less and cant bare to spend a single second to ask sincerely how they are doing. Despite this, as with all white people, they gain privileges the other side characters cannot dream of having. The main plot is skating but the truthful way in which the director aimed to build these characters says a lot more than just skating. Example: The asian girl with a permanently injured hip having her whole career shut down is seen as less important to the white girl with bipolar disorder who chose not to take her meds and had a fight with her ex boyfriend. If you want to further develop your hate for white people and their sense of self entitlement, this is THE drama to watch.
