아빠와 단둘이 사는 7살 희진은 아빠를 보며 엄마의 빈자리를 느낀다. 엄마가 남겨놓은 빨간 구두를 가지고 자신의 단짝인 곰 인형과 전단지를 붙이며 엄마를 찾게 된다. 한편 동네슈퍼아줌마는 희진에게 늘 따뜻이 대해준다. 희진은 그런 아줌마의 호의에 혼란스러워한다. 드디어 D-day! 설레는 마음으로 엄마를 기다린다. 엄마를 만날 수 있을까?
Hee Jin (7 years old) looks at her father and feels the vacancy left by her mother. With a pair of red shoes her mother left behind, Hee Jin and her best friend (a big teddy bear) stick posters on the wall, trying to find Hee Jin's mother. On the other hand, a woman (local grocery shop owner) treats Hee Jin warmly. Her kindness and good will has Hee Jin confused. Finally D-Day! Hee Jin's heart flutters as she waits for her. Will they meet?
연출의도. 희진은 엄마를 그리워하지만 누구에게도 표현할 수 없고 어떻게든 누군가 나타나 주기를 원한다. 항상 희진의 옆에 있어주는 곰 인형, 따뜻한 마음으로 우유를 전해주는 슈퍼아줌마, 부족하지만 희진을 사랑하는 아빠까지 아이는 그 따뜻함 속에서 한층 더 성장하게 됩니다.
Hee Jin yearns for her mother but cannot express these sentiments to anyone. She longs for someone to appear. The teddy bear that's always by her side, the grocery lady and the although deficient but loving father, all create a loving and warm atmosphere; a platform for Hee Jin to overcome her yearning.
