남아프리카공화국의 흑인 빈민지역 내에 형성된 백인 빈민가를 일컫는 ‘트리옴프’에 살고있는 백인가족의 이야기이다. 만델라 대통령이 당선된 1994년 총선이 열리기 3일 전. 환호성을 지르는 흑인들이 거리를 채우고, 이 백인가족의 뒤틀린 삶 역시 변화해야만 한다.(It is 1994 and South Africa is three days from its first post-apartheid democratic election.
