미국과 일본은 공동으로 인간 유전자 게놈 계획의 첫 성과로 인간의 종을 결정짓는 유전자 도식을 발견한다. 이진성은 주말 저녁 일을 마치고 집으로 귀가 중 정체불명의 괴한들로부터 납치를 당한다. Cage2021라는 정사각형의 밀폐공간에 감금되어 알 수 없는 실험이 이진성을 대상으로 진행된다. (The United States and Japan have their first achievement in their study about genome together: the existence of a gene that determines the human species. On one weekend evening, the man named LEE Jin-sung is kidnapped by mysterious men on his way back home from work. Confined inside an airtight square room called 'Cage 2021', Jin Sung is subjected to mysterious experiments.)
연출의도. 근 미래에 대한 메시지를 인과적인 드라마보다는 이미지적인 드라마로 보여주고 싶었다. 대사에 의해 전개되는 인과적인 드라마보다 이미지적인 드라마를 추구하였다. (I wanted to show a message of a close future by showing a film with "Image" rather than a human drama that spreads out by lines or conditions.)
