인간 마부조의 최후

마부조는 부도난 중소기업의 사장으로 현재 도피중이다. 기차를 타기 위해 역으로 이동하던 중 역광장에서 자신에게 구걸하러 온 절름발이 벙어리인 부랑자 K를 만나게 되어 도피를 포기한다. 마부조는 그를 깨끗이 씻기고 배불리 먹인다. 깊은밤… 마부조는 행복감에 잠든 K를 주도면밀하게 살해한다. 그러나 몇일 후 홀로된 마부조 역시 동네 불량배 패거리들에게 두들겨 맞아 죽는다. 이 이야기는 ""마부조의 부도 후 잠적""과 ""신원미상의 남자 변사체발견:""이라는 두 뉴스보도를 통해 수미쌍관 혹은 변증을 이루고 있다. 독일 표현주의 영화에 바치는 감독의 은밀한 러브레터. (Mabuzo, a former boss of a soon to be bankrupt small company, is on the run. While on his way to the station, he meets one-legged wino K, and he abandons his plans to escape. Mabuzo washes him and offers him food. Deep into the night, Mabuzo kills K. A few days later, Mabuzo too gets beaten to death by the hustlers in town.
