하오의 결투
스티브 주드는 황금을 운반하는 일을 은행으로부터 의뢰받고 옛 동료 질 웨스트럼과 젊은 헥을 고용한다. 세 일당은 기차에서 도피중인 젊은 여인을 만난다. 페킨파는 나이든 총잡이들을 등장시켜 용기, 충성, 의무 같은 서부의 전통적 가치들이 사라져가는 순간을 묘사했고, 제작자는 이 영화를 비대중적이라며 탐탁지 않게 여겼다 한다.
