올해 대만영화가 배출한 눈부신 신인감독의 데뷔작. 대만의 어머니의 날, 부인을 위해 저녁식사를 계획하고 있던 첸모는 자신의 차 옆에 불법주차 된 차량 때문에 꼼짝 못한다. 밤을 꼬박 새워 불법주차를 한 차 주인을 찾던 첸모는 이상한 사건과 괴이한 인물들과 연달아 마주치게 된다.
