Granted I watched this series while in high school so it was a fun break from the reality of high school; which isn't anywhere near as exciting as this show that focuses on upper east side wealthy teens who tackle life in high school. A drama filled and teen focused show is the best. I found it tiresome though with the character Dan Humphrey constantly complaining about the economic difference between his rich friends and himself. If you are a lover of the chick teen shows then add to your watchlist.

This is such a classic teen drama that is actually very gripping, but I feel like the series actually continues far too long since it's actually 8 seasons, so only star the show if you're prepared to see it through to the end. It follows the lives of 'Manhattan's elite' teenagers who are all set to inherit fortunes and are all invited to the most exclusive parties. However, when an outsider, Dan Humphrey's is also suddenly thrown into their world, he can't decide where he fits in and he also struggles with his relationships with all the characters at first and throughout the entire series. There is also a narrator to the story who manages to expose all of their secrets, and spread rumours throughout the whole of New York causing many dramas in their friendship circle and with their families.
