This is a really funny TV show that is set in the style of a telenovela with completely unrealistic storylines, but it is all the same a fun watch. Jane is a religious girl with a fiance and believes in waiting for sex until after marriage, who goes in for a routine checkup. However, the doctor is drunk and accidentally inseminates her with her boss's sperm. Jane then becomes pregnant and intends to hand the baby over to their other parents as soon as the baby is born. However, this situation becomes a little more complex when she starts having feelings for her boss, and she has to make a decision who she wants to raise the child with or even if her boss will allow her to coparent the child.

I will be honest, I was hesitant to start watching this show; the television network CW generally puts out only good quality shows, but again I wasn't sold. I didn't actually start watching this show right when it started. A Hispanic woman who desires to become a romance writer with the support of her single young mother and Abuelita (grandmother). After I decided to watch it I actually found it light hearted, but filled with depth. does a brilliant job making you become attract he'd to her character as a pregnant virgin. It's fun to watch Jane the virgin deal with her pregnancy and her loved ones.

This show is a brilliant mix of American television and telenovelas. It's quirky and fun and just an all around celebration of culture. It's completely ridiculous but that is why it is so amazing. It will make you laugh, cry, scream, just feel all of the emotions. Because this show is basically just a bunch of emotions and that is why it is so great. Also the characters are wonderful, especially Jane herself.

I dislike this show with a passion. I find the humor really annoying and cheesy. I got through the first 5 episodes because it was so highly rated but I couldn't stand the actor or the plot. I find this show unrealistic and would not recommend it.
