I watched this film in high school for an assignment and I was blown away by the complexity of the film. The main actor is famous for his role in this film as well as he shining. It does a good job at commenting on the corruption in the system for mental health patients. They are no longer treated like humans but as a burden. The movie was done so well and I definitely recommend

An absolute classic. The acting in this movie is so natural and a joy to watch. Nicholson, of course, is great and plays a very compelling character, and the supporting cast just plays off each other so well. Though the story is simple, it really doesn't need any complex narrative, to get its message across. If you are into character-driven film, this is one for you.

I love this film because it is one of the few films that is older that truly stands the test of time. It doesn’t really on effects, social commentary of the time, or big elaborate pieces that may be trendy at a given time. This film relies on its strong foundation, which is its characters. We fall in love with Jack Nicholson’s who is perhaps wrongly admitted into a mental institution. It is about his struggle to fit in, justify his situation, and find purpose in a life that seems like a prison. It serves as a microcosm is living in a society. It makes the viewer question what dictates certain labels. Aren’t we all mad to a certain degree?!

Jack Nicholson delivers an amazing performance in this movie. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest features many now well-known actors to create an unbeatable cast with great chemistry. The film focuses on a mental asylum and those that reside in it. The visuals are bleak, which match the setting and theme of the film perfectly, and the ending is unforgettable. This film is a classic that won many awards and is definitely a must watch.
