This is the heartbreaking story between two unlikely friends: an imprisoned Jewish boy, and the son of a nazi official. The two boys don't really comprehend their situations, which makes the film such a hard watch. Their friendship is beautiful and is so emotional in its nature since the two boys are so alike, but different in their predetermined futures. The film is based on the book, which I believe you should read before watching the film, but if reading isn't your thing, the film is an accurate representation of the book.
