カリフォルニア州ウッズボローで起こった連続殺人事件から2年。シドニー・プレスコット（ネーヴ・キャンベル）はウィンザー大学演劇科に進学、優しい恋人デレク（ジェリー・オコネル）もできた。一方、芸能レポーターのゲイル・ウェザーズ（コートニー・コックス）がまとめた事件の本はベストセラーになり、『スタブ』という題名で映画化もされ、シドニーの母親の殺人容疑者コットン・ウェアリー（リーヴ・シュライバー）を無罪放免するのにも一役買っていた。そんなある朝、ウィンザー大学に通うモーリーン（ジェイダ・ピンケット）とフィルが『スタブ』の試写会場で惨殺された。シドニーに忌まわしい記憶が甦る……。

The horror "Scream 2" is the sequel to the well-received, popular original in the franchise "Scream." The darkly and cynically humorous murder mystery movie met its expectations but suffered from a lack of wow-factor sparked by the original. Despite this, I admire the director Wes Craven to further explore his parody that mocks the conventions of the horror genre.
